Short lived conservation
What is the shortest ever conservation effort? Could this be the one?
It cost an average $80,000 to rehabilitate a seal after the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska. Two of these very expensively saved animals were released back into the wild accompanied by cheers and applauses from wellwishers. A minute later, both of them were eaten by a killer whale!
