Highest man-made temperature
The highest man-made temperature of 2 billion degree Centigrade was achieved at the Sandia National Laboratories at Albuquerque, New Mexico, using the Z-Machine. In comparison, the temperature of the surface of the sun is 6,000 degree Centigrade, while the temperature deep within the core of the sun is 15 million degree Centigrade.
